From Chuck Wiki
Jeff Barnes is one of Chuck's coworkers at Buy More; he's a member of the Nerd Herd. He has been known to watch porn while at work. Usually, he'll be seen with Lester.
[edit] Character information
In the early 1980s Jeff was a local celebirty due to his achieving a high score in MISSLE COMMAND; in 1983 he was the World Champion after winning the Valley Video Game Championships, and was interviewed on local TV's Channel 13. Episode 205: Chuck vs Tom Sawyer It is also revealed that Jeff has a uneasy crush on Anna, even going as far as to create a video montage for his personal use.
According to his "Call me a taxi" card, Jeff's address is: 1629 Handley Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91601. Episode 205: Chuck vs Tom Sawyer. (In reality, there is no such street in North Hollywood.)
By far, Jeff is the oddest member of the Buy More staff - Quite an accomplishment considering that he works alongside Chuck (a man with a computer in his brain), Casey (an operative of the NSA) and Morgan. In fact, Jeff appears to be an alcoholic, given his "safety" card for calling a taxi when entering a drunken stupor, or worse. Episode 205: Chuck vs Tom Sawyer
With the exception of Big Mike, Jeff is the oldest Buy More employee, as noted in Chuck vs. the Nemesis when Morgan has to persuade him to try to restart the tills as he's the oldest one on staff and the only one who knows how they actually work (they're from the '80s). While being interviewed for the assistant manager's position in Episode 201: Chuck vs. the First Date, Chuck learns that Jeff was the first employee at the Buy More.
Jeff's Resume (Written on a napkin) says "I've worked here forever...18 years and know where all the bodies are buried. Ha Ha Ha My coworkers have nice feet. I like to take pictures of them and then (Finger covers 1 word) them."
Due to his odd behaviour, Jeff is rarely taken seriously; as evidenced when he told Morgan "pineapple", the Buy More's safety word in case they need to evacuate the store. Morgan tells him that he can't keep saying it or they'll change the word, only to realize that he is serious after Jeff finally says that Chuck told him to say it.
