They sneak into the vault where the diamond is kept, where Alahi confronts them. Sarah and Carina take advantage of his infatuation to learn about the security around the diamond. While Sarah distracts him Carina and Chuck take a closer look, and Chuck flashes on a high-voltage security system. Carina improvises and uses a fire extinguisher to safely remove the diamond, and escapes to the beach. Carina plays on Chuck's trusting nature to make off with the diamond and leave them on the beach, though Chuck and Sarah are rescued by Casey.

Sarah arrives to find him in his underwear and handcuffed to the bed. While playing video games with Morgan, Chuck stumbles across the diamond when he goes to grab a game out of Morgan's backpack. He flashes on the gem and realizes it's not a drug diamond, but is being used to fund terrorists. He calls Sarah with the revelation, but she and Casey have been captured by Alahi, who demands its return. Carina breaks in and tries to steal it back, but Chuck plays on her conscience to help him rescue Sarah. Carina and Chuck confront Alahi to arrange the exchange in the lobby, while Casey escapes confinement upstairs. A fight breaks out, and while Sarah and Carina take on Alahi and his men Chuck flees with the diamond and locks himself in the mail room. He quickly addresses a package and, when one of Alahi's henchmen breaks in, threatens to drop it in the mail slot as he doesn't know where it will be going. Casey arrives and disables the goon, and Chuck accidentally drops the diamond.

Sarah smiles to see Chuck noticed she doesn't like olives (she picked them off her pizza during the opening scene with Chuck's family, and the double-date with Morgan and Carina). Chuck says that the fact she doesn't like olives is the only thing he knows about her that is real. He asks her if she can at least tell him something real about herself. such as her real name or where she grew up at, or even her middle name. With each one Chuck asks of her, Sarah remains silent. Giving up, Chuck says he's going to get napkins. As he walks away, Sarah whispers "It's Lisa. My middle name is Lisa."

The '''Intersect 2.0''' is the new version of the intersect computer first seen the season two final episode, [[Episode 222: Chuck vs. the Ring|Chuck vs. the Ring]]. As of now this intersect has been downloaded into Chuck's head with the Computer version being destroyed so not to fall into enemy hands.

== History ==
Whether due to their failure to capture the original Intersect or independently early in its original development, Fulcrum attempted to reconstruct their own Intersect device. The earliest direct reference to this may be traced to "Chuck Versus the First Date," after the organization attempted to steal the Cipher. It has most recently been revealed that Fulcrum had been running tests on captured human guinea pigs to see who would be capable of retaining the Intersect's intel. All subjects thus far have either died or become insane from overload of information until Chuck himself was captured and had the secrets successfully loaded into his brain.[12]

"Chuck Versus the Dream Job" reveals that the Fulcrum Intersect project is being headed up by Ted Roark. Stephen identifies this version of the Intersect as "Intersect 2.0," and calls it his baby. The device is significantly more advanced in appearance than the original Intersect and Beta Intersect, which used a traditional PC as its interface. Roark has been unable to complete the project, but at the end of the episode, Fulcrum captures Stephen and forces him to complete the Cube.

In "Chuck Versus the Colonel," Stephen reveals that he secretly did what he originally intended to do before being captured: he successfully reconfigured the Cube to erase the Intersect images from Chuck's head, and is apparently successful after getting Chuck to watch the images. Operation Bartowski rescues Stephen Bartowski and captures Intersect 2.0 from Fulcrum.

In "Chuck Versus the Ring" Stephen reveals that he has made yet more modifications from his original design, using a new architecture as requested by the government, as part of a deal. When Stephen asks Bryce Larkin what the new Intersect is for, Bryce says, "You don't want to know." Bryce was slated to receive an upload from the new Intersect, though he also brought along a device made to destroy the new Intersect along with the terminal and chamber. Bryce was mortally wounded in an ambush while entering the Intersect chamber and ordered Chuck to destroy it. However, Chuck downloaded the new system into his brain before doing so.

In addition to its intelligence data, one of the modifications to Intersect 2.0 "flashed" Chuck's memory with the knowledge of new skills; his first flash gave him the ability to do highly-advanced martial arts. Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak have indicated that the changes Stephen added at the government's request were designed specifically for Bryce Larkin, who was cold and calculating and in total control of his emotions. Chuck's emotional nature will have a direct effect on the functionality of the Intersect and make its behaviour both unpredictable and potentially dangerous to those around him.

Chuck wears a watch designed by Laszlo Manhovski, which was first called attention to in the episode "Chuck Versus the Sandworm." Among its known features are a built-in tracking device and two-way radio/listening device. Chuck's first watch was destroyed by Laszlo to keep Sarah and Casey from tracking them.

In several episodes he has deliberately left it behind when he doesn't wish to be tracked. The watch also either has an integral distress beacon, or by "Chuck Versus the Best Friend" was upgraded to allow Chuck to turn the tracking device on and off. Similar watches are also worn by Sarah and Casey.

The watch is one of many devices used by the team that reference the gadgets of James Bond.
